Crime Boss: Rockay City is a brand-new IP from Ingame Studios starring none other than Chuck Norris (we kid you not, the Crime Boss: Rockay City cast is seriously impressive). And the first-person gangster romp is due to release on PC very soon.

The game's release date is hitting PC first, via Epic Games Store, and is set to release later this year on consoles.

Set in a fictional American city that looks to compete with Liberty City as the crime capital, Crime Boss: Rockay City covers all the familiar gangster themes – start at the bottom, work your way to the top, become the kingpin, you know the deal.

Owing to the game's star-studded cast, it's safe to say that the heist game looks interesting, at the very least. Surprisingly though, we're yet to read any reviews of the new IP.

Regardless of a lack of reviews, read on to find out everything there is to know about the Crime Boss: Rockay City release date, pre-order information, gameplay and story details, and to watch a trailer.

When is the Crime Boss: Rockay City release date?

We don't have to wait long to find out what it's all about! The Crime Boss: Rockay City release date is Tuesday 28th March for PC players via Epic Games Store.

On console, we're looking at a June 2023 release date as per 505 Games' half-year financial report (thanks, Gematsu).

What is the Crime Boss: Rockay City release time in the UK?

No official release time has been revealed but we can speculate that it will go live on the Epic Games Store from 5pm UK time on 28th March. This is when the 20 per cent pre-purchase sale ends, so it's safe to say it'll be available to play from 5pm in the afternoon if not earlier.

Can I pre-order Crime Boss: Rockay City?

The PC version of Crime Boss Rockay City is available for pre-purchase over at the Epic Games Store (not Steam this time!). There is an offer on to buy it for £27.99 until Tuesday 28th March.

You'll also find the console versions of game at traditional retailers like GAME and Amazon.

Which consoles and platforms can play Crime Boss: Rockay City?

Crime Boss: Rockay City is set to release on PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series consoles, and PC.

It's launching first on PC on 28th March as an Epic Games Store timed exclusive (it should release on Steam around June 2024).

The game is scheduled to release on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in June 2023. No official release date has been confirmed aside from this vague window.

Unfortunately it won't be dropping on the previous generation of consoles or Nintendo Switch. And, as we mentioned above, the game won't be available on Steam this year, either!

Crime Boss: Rockay City gameplay and story details

We don't know everything about the story right now, but there are a few details we can share.

It all seems like a typical gangster rise-to-the-top fare that we know from films like Scarface, and pretty much every Grand Theft Auto.

Rockay City looks like a city in Florida, and the game appears to be firmly in the 1990s. All the gangsters in the city are controlled by one big boss and when this boss dies (you guessed it), a power struggle ensues. While far from original, it looks like the off-the-wall gameplay and brilliant cast will bring it all to life.
