Nearly a decade later, Company of Heroes is back with its third entry. The Company of Heroes 3 release date is finally here and plenty more details surrounding the World War II real-time strategy have been revealed.
The latest game in the RTS series brings the action to WW2's Italy and North African chapter. You'll take control of the Allied forces against the Axis in the deserts and coasts of this part of the world.
New gameplay features including the Tactical Pause system, an improved level of destruction, and even a dynamic story where your choices affect the campaign's ending await.

Can I pre-order Company of Heroes 3?
You can pre-order Company of Heroes 3 right now on Steam for £49.99. The £69.99 Digital Premium Edition can also be purchased from Steam, which includes the Devil's Brigade DLC Pack and Premium DLC Pack.
The Premium DLC Pack includes the first major expansion (launching TBA 2023), Premium US HQ Legendary Cosmetic, Premium Victory Point Legendary Cosmetic, and Premium US M4 Sherman Legendary Cosmetic.
All pre-orders on Steam come bundled with the Devil's Brigade DLC Pack, which includes the following:

What consoles will Company of Heroes 3 be released on?
Company of Heroes 3 is available first on PC but it will release eventually on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of the game is currently scheduled to release sometime in 2023.
Company of Heroes 3 story and gameplay
The game's campaign is set across the Mediterranean. You'll have missions taking place in coastal vistas of Italy and the deserts and plains of North Africa.
Thanks to the use of the new Relic Entertainment-developed proprietary Essence Engine, Company of Heroes 3 offers up lush detailed visuals and increased destruction effects.
The story is a dynamic one, meaning that it will be different for different players with player choice impacting the ending.
In terms of gameplay, the main headline is the new Tactical Pause feature. This totally optional feature allows you to pause the ongoing action so you can take your time to plan your attacks. Good for those who find the game's sandbox-style RTS gameplay difficult to keep track of.

Of course, it's not just the story mode, either. Company of Heroes 3 has a full Skirmish mode and multiplayer modes to choose from.
