Is Fortnite down? How to check the server status right now
Learn how to check the Fortnite server status if you ever think the game is down.
If you're having trouble logging into Epic Games' iconic battle royale game, you might be wondering if Fortnite is down right now. And how does one check the server status anyway?
There's no Fortnite live event going on today (20th June), but there is some scheduled server maintenance taking place in preparation for the new Fortnite update.
This current season is titled Wilds. It features rideable dinosaurs and Optimus Prime, the latter of which is a tie-in with the new movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Is Fortnite down? Scheduled maintenance news
For players all over the world, including the UK, Fortnite is currently offline and unavailable to play.
As confirmed in the Tweet below, Epic Games took the game offline at around 7.30am BST in the morning of Tuesday 20th June, in order to install the v25.10 update.

When will Fortnite come back online?
We would hope for the Fortnite downtime to end at around lunchtime, from a UK time zone perspective, in keeping with previous form. But it's impossible to say for sure, because Epic Games does not tend to announce the end time in advance.
Sometimes, Fortnite downtime lasts just a couple of hours, but on certain occasions it can go on a little bit longer. When the game comes back online, we'll be sure to update this page.

How to check Fortnite server status
Whenever you're unsure as to whether Fortnite is online, there are three main places you should check to see what the Fortnite server status is looking like.
The official Fortnite Status Twitter account will keep you posted with official updates from the developers.
Also, the Epic Games website will give you a quick way to look at the official status of all of Epic's services.
Plus, take a look at Down Detector and you'll see if any other players are currently experiencing difficulties.
