Whenever a new Fortnite season is on the way, fans want to know if there will be a Fortnite live event to mark the occasion or not.

With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 launching this week, codenamed 'Wilds', with a few new confirmed skins and a jungle theme (along with rumoured Optimus Prime and rideable raptors), in-between new seasons is when the hype builds to new levels.

It doesn't give us any joy to say that no Fortnite live event has been announced for this week, so it seems incredibly unlikely that one is happening. Epic Games tends to announce big events well in advance, so it's looking increasingly unlikely once more.

When is the next Fortnite live event?

As it stands, there are no announced plans for a Fortnite live event.

The new season is launching soon, though, and the official Twitter account has been teasing it quite heavily. We know that the new season is codenamed Wilds, and Epic is teasing its jungle theme and shows us what's become of those earthquakes: remains of an ancient civilisation?

Four new skins have been shown off, too, which you can see in the tweet below:

We are sure that another Fortnite live event will happen at some point - perhaps the next time that an overarching 'chapter' comes to an end and shakes up the game's macro narrative - but it doesn't look like one is happening this week.

For now, we'll just have to make do with stories of past glories and keep hoping that an event gets announced.

When wast the last Fortnite live event?

The last Fortnite live event was called Fracture and it took place on Saturday 3rd December 2022 at 9pm UK time.

Ahead of the event, Epic Games promised an "otherworldly and unexpected social event" with the poster teasing an especially strong tornado ripping up the map. Check out the video in an official tweet below:

The Fracture live event acted not just as the end of Fortnite season 4, but as a finale for Chapter 3 as a whole, with Chapter 4 launching soon after.

To commemorate the occasion, players who logged in between 2pm on Friday 2nd December and 7:45am on Sunday 4th December received the Toasty Roast emote for free in order to toast chapter 3.

As we stated earlier, though, no such event has been announced to bridge the gap between Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 through 3, which is set to go live on 9th June. One is rumoured to be coming for potentially the end of Chapter 4, however.

Whenever a new Fortnite live event is announced, we'll be sure to update this page.

How to join a Fortnite live event

Whenever one happens, you can join any ongoing Fortnite live event by checking out the dedicated playlist in the game itself.

In the case of the most recent event, the limited-time "Fracture" playlist was open 30 minutes before the launch, supporting parties of up to four players. The next event might be similar, or it could be totally different! Only time will tell.
