For those of you who can't play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor just yet for whatever reason, fear not. Once again, Star Wars is coming to Fortnite.

The news came when Epic Games revealed artwork of an Anakin Skywalker skin last week – and now, we know solid details about the event.

As you can guess from the Anakin skin, it's an event that pays homage to the prequel series. A controversial decision but we have a special place in our hearts for the sequels, so it has our approval.

So, while it doesn't seem to have any connection to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we're just happy for more Jedi content in our lives.

We'll share all we know about the Fortnite Star Wars event below!

What is the Star Wars Fortnite event?

The event, called Find the Force, will celebrate the prequels by treating us to new in-game features, unlock-able content and plenty of new items to splash out on in the shop.

We'll be able to play with the lightsabers of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, or Darth Maul, as well as new force (or dark side) powers. The island will also feature scenarios inspired by the prequel film trilogy, and we expect a lot of surprises during the course of the event.

Jump into Fortnite today and the event’s special challenges should be easy to find on the main menu. These free challenges culminate in a Darth Maul skin, so they’re well worth checking out and committing some time to!

Star Wars Fortnite event: how to get the Anakin Skywalker skin

That Anakin skin looks really cool, doesn't it? Well, if you want it, simply head to the the item shop (where you'll also be able to pick up the Padme skin). It costs 1,500 V-Bucks.

It would be cool to pull in other Clone Wars-era characters like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, but only time will tell what Disney and Epic have agreed on including.

When is the Star Wars Fortnite event?

Epic Games has confirmed on Twitter that the Star Wars Fortnite event will begin on Tuesday 2nd May and end on Tuesday 23rd May 2023.

It seems safe to assume that this event is to tie into Star Wars Day on Thursday 4th May. "May the fourth be with you" will never stop being funny, will it?
