Following two months of coupling up and cracking on, two of the Love Island 2023 contestants were crowned this year's winners.

At the end of the epic finale, Jess and Sammy were crowned as the Love Island 2023 winners.

They follow in the footsteps Sanam Harrinanam and Kai Fagan, who won season nine back in March 2023.

The couple took home a joint £50,000 cash prize.

While 32 contestants walked through the villa doors, only four couples remained in the running to be crowned this year's winners, with one couple in particular predicted to win by a landslide.

In an exclusive RadioTimes.com poll, 57.4 per cent of fans voted Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki as the winning couple.

Nevertheless, the couple ended up coming second with Tyrique in Ella just behind them in third place. This result shocked fans who thought Ty and Ella would be in the top two along with Whitney and Lochan.

How long is the Love Island final?

The final episode of the series has to take into account the added extras which have become traditional to the series end.

The couples must read their 'final vows' at the ceremony, before finding out which couples made it to fourth, third, second and first place - meaning that the episode will have to be an extra-long episode to cram it all in!

The proceedings usually kick off at 9pm, and conclude at around 10.35pm.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm. Previous seasons of Love Island are available on BritBox – you can sign up for a 7-day free trial.
