Martin McDonagh’s tragicomedy The Banshees of Inisherin bagged four awards at the 2023 BAFTAs, with Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan taking the prizes for Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.

The film also won Best British Film and Best Original Screenplay.

It comes after the movie's huge success at the Golden Globe Awards last month, where it won both the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and the Best Screenplay – Motion Picture awards, while star Colin Farrell won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Set on the fictional island of Inisherin in 1923, the movie follow lifelong friends Pádraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson) who abruptly fall out, with severe consequences. Their conflict has been seen by many as an allegory for the Irish Civil War.

No, it isn't. The Banshees of Inisherin is exclusively available to stream on Disney Plus, meaning you won't be able to find it on Netflix.
