The fifth instalment sees Darth Vader promote Reva Sevander to the title of Grand Inquisitor and tasks her with attacking the hideout of the Path.

To give the network of rebels a way to escape, Obi-Wan Kenobi faces off with Reva and realises that the only reason she knows Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker is that she was present at the Jedi Temple as a youngling when Vader slaughtered numerous Jedi while executing Order 66.

It then becomes clear to him that Reva's true goal is to take revenge on Vader and kill him and offers to help Reva deal with this but she turns him down.

Obi-Wan tries to escape the facility and his ally Tala gives her life to help him get away, but Kenobi is still forced to surrender.

However, the Jedi manages to persuade Reva to take action and attempt to kill Vader when she delivers Obi-Wan to him.

Elsewhere, young Princess Leia Organa tries to fix the doors and is successful and helps the Path to escape and they manage to get away with Obi-Wan.

Finally, Reva tries to assassinate Vader but he stops her. It is then that the original Grand Inquisitor appears alive and apparently well. The pair then decide to abandon Reva to die in the base.

The wounded Reva goes on to discover Obi-Wan’s transmitter and witnesses a message that reveals the shocking truth: that Princess Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker are the children of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Following the end of episode 3, Obi-Wan Kenobi is placed in a bacta tank to heal his wounds, having been rescued by Tala. He quickly jumps back into action in order to save Leia, who is being held and interrogated by Reva at the Fortus Inquisitorious.

With the help Tala's ally Roken and the other member of The Path, Obi-Wan infiltrates the base, while Tala aids him in her guise as a member of the Empire.

Obi-Wan discovers that the base is actually a tomb for entrapped Jedi, and in order to save Leia from the same fate, has Tala create a distraction.

The pair rescue Leia and, before they can be captured and killed, are helped from above by new friends Wade and Sully who assist in Y-Wings.

Reva kills Wade but the others escape. Vader force chokes Reva, incensed by her failure. However, she reveals to him that she has in fact planted a tracker on our heroes' escape ship, which we later find out is inside Leia's beloved droid Lola.

Vader orders Reva Sevander to track down his old master and promises that she will succeed the murdered Grand Inquisitor's position if she succeeds.

Meanwhile, Kenobi and Princess Leia Organa land on the barren Mapuzo and make their way to a rendezvous point provided by Haja previously.

The pair find no allies waiting for them and climb in an Imperial transport.

Reva discovers that the pair have gone to Mapuzo and sends orders to Imperial troops to track them down.

However, the fugitives receive aid from Tala, an imperial officer and a member of an underground network aiding Jedi. Tala previously helped Quinlan Vos to escape the Empire.

Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on the planet Daiyu to rescue Princess Leia Organa after tracking bounty hunters there.

The Jedi encounters Haja Estree, a conman who is impersonating a Jedi and gets his help to find Leia. After receiving Leia's location, Obi-Wan finds her but must battle bounty hunter Vect Nokru and his forces before he and Leia escape.

Meanwhile, the Inquisitors arrive on Daiyu and The Grand Inquisitor is angered to learn of Reva's secret machinations to lure Obi-Wan to them by kidnapping the daughter of an Imperial senator and reminding her that her low social class means she will never be considered an equal to the likes of him.

However, Reva ignores her superior and sets a bounty on Obi-Wan's head to help track him down.

Meanwhile, Leia grows distrustful of Obi-Wan and runs away but ends up in the crosshairs of bounty hunters with Obi-Wan in pursuit.

Obi-Wan manages to save Leia's life after she falls from a great height by using the Force, prompting the young girl to trust him.

The pair plan their escape to Alderaan in a ship after they receive aid from Haja Estree, who later distracts Reva to bide Obi-Wan and Leia time.

Elsewhere, The Grand Inquisitor interrogates Vect Nokru for the location of Obi-Wan before executing him with spinning lightsabers.

Reva sees through Estree's lies regarding him being a Jedi and tracks down Obi-Wan to a hangar.

Leia readies their escape pod as Obi-Wan hides from Reva - who reveals to Obi-Wan that Anakin Skywalker lives - to the shock of Obi-Wan who believed his former Padawan had perished after their last encounter on Mustafar ten years prior.

Reva prepares to attack Obi-Wan when she is confronted by The Grand Inquisitor who promises she will be dealt with for her insolence while he will apprehend Obi-Wan. In response, Reva stabs her superior with her lightsaber to prevent him from taking the credit with Darth Vader.

During this, Obi-Wan flees to the spacecraft and he and Leia flee Daiyu as Reva swears the Empire will capture him.

Onboard the ship, Leia notes that Obi-Wan looks like he has seen a ghost.

Finally, we see a bancta tank where a badly burned Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker awakens

The first episode opens a decade after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, with the Jedi either extinct or in hiding.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is hiding on Tattooine as "Ben", packs meat for a living and watches over the Lars homestead to guard a young Luke Skywalker.

Meanwhile, the Galactic Empire's inquisitors Grand Inquisitor, the Fifth Brother, and The Third Sister/Reva Sevander arrive on Tattooine searching for a Jedi and find one named Nari who managed to escape.

Nari visits Obi-Wan and asks for help, but the Jedi Master believes the war against the Sith is over and the Jedi lost.

Obi-Wan is later confronted by Luke's uncle and surrogate father Owen Lars, who asks Obi-Wan to stay away from Luke out of fear he will end up dead like Owen's step-brother, Anakin Skywalker. Obi-Wan watches as the Inquisitors interrogate residents of a Tattooine village and even threaten Owen.

Meanwhile, on Alderaan, a young Princess Leia Organa flees her mother Queen Breha Organa and her adopted family to run through the forest before returning home to attend a family event where she is mocked by a cousin for not being a "real" Organa.

Leia's father Senator Bail Organa assures Leia that she is part of their family.

Later, Leia flees into the forest again before being kidnapped by the bounty hunter Vect Nokru, who has been hired by Reva to lure Obi-Wan to her.

The Organas soon contact Obi-Wan asking for his help in rescuing Leia but he turns them down.

The following day, Obi-Wan discovers that Nari has been killed and his corpse strung up by the Inquisitors.

Senator Bail Organa pays a visit to Obi-Wan and asks for his help once more and he accepts. We then see Obi-Wan dig up his old lightsaber to go and rescue Leia.
