Summary
Nine months have passed since the world was decimated by strange entities with the power to inspire suicidal thoughts. Survivors of humanity's downfall continue to wear blindfolds to avoid a grim fate, nervously stumbling through towns and cities littered with bodies of the fallen. Former engineer Sebastian (Mario Casas) is haunted by the death of his wife during the initial onslaught and the words of Father Esteban (Leonardo Sbaraglia), who believed the mass suicides were our judgement day: "To look The Lord in the eye may be more than our minds can endure". Sebastian's primary focus is protecting his daughter Anna (Alejandra Howard) from the invaders. He aligns with a group of survivors in an old bomb shelter including British psychiatrist Claire (Georgina Campbell), Mexican loner Octavio (Diego Calva Hernandez) and eight-year-old German orphan Sofia (Naila Schuberth). These brave souls are blissfully unaware of dark forces conspiring against them on the north-eastern Spanish coast
